Game Recap

The MC JV Girls Basketball team beat previously unbeaten Columbia 46-34 on Tuesday. It was once again defense that proved the difference. The Cardinals held the Eagles under 9 points each of the first 3 quarters and only gave up a last second 3 in the 3rd quarter to pull away. All 12 girls played in at least 3 of the 4 quarters in what was their fourth game in five school days. The team was led by Andi MacKenzie’s 12 points and 5 steals. Mic Jaycox scored 8, Olivia Reynolds 7, Michaley Vieau 6, Sophie Falasco 5, Allie Fagan 4, Shelby Scott had 2, and Alyssa Villarreal had 2 and led the team with 3 assists. Falasco led the Cardinals with 6 rebounds and Villarreal grabbed 5. The JV team has 8 wins and 0 losses so far and is 4 and 0 in the Cascades Conference.
